Hey! My name is Andrew Southworth and i’m the creator of Music Growth Machine and the owner of Genera Studios. I created Music Growth Machine so that I could start a blog focused on music marketing content.

Music Marketing

In case you aren’t familiar with me at all, here are some stats as of March 2023:

  • I’ve worked with over 1,500 artists, managers and labels 1-on-1
  • I’ve driven over 100 million streams using Facebook ads for my clients
  • I have over 2,000 students in my courses
  • My YouTube channel has 55,000 subscribers and 6.7 million views

As of right now, March 2023, i’ve grown my channel to about 55,000 subscribers. I talk about music marketing and music business from the perspective of an actual music artist. Prior to talking about music marketing and music business I actually talked about music production on my channel, and prior to that I taught vocal lessons on my channel.

A lot of online music marketers aren’t coming from the perspective of being a music artist, which is totally cool when they’re giving solid advice, but I take pride in the fact my advice comes from my own personal experience and what I actually use myself for my music.

Over the years as i’ve done more and more consulting and managed campaigns for clients, that advice extends from personal experience on my own music to also include experience from thousands of other artists. I don’t just do music marketing every so often, I live and breathe music marketing.

My Music

For my own music on Spotify alone i’ve gotten over 6 million Spotify streams at the time i’m writing this, over 4 million on my solo project. This was done 100% independently and online. Here are some of my music projects:

I’ve been making music since around 2004 so its been a part of my life forever. The reason for the large amount of projects is I just like writing a lot of different types of music. Instead of letting it go to waste on a hard drive I try to put out whatever I can in the project it makes sense for.

Music Marketing Consulting

From my research there aren’t many people online offering music marketing consulting. For me this started off as a way to help a couple of people per week out online with their Facebook ads. Quickly this expanded into doing 15+ calls per week with everything from brand new artists, to record labels, to artists with millions of monthly listeners and with people across the planet.

I’ve gotten the opportunity to speak with artists I listen to and work with executives from major record labels. It’s kind of surreal.

Sometimes these calls are just helping people out with their first Facebook ad campaign to promote their 3rd single. Other times I help people with their tour promotions, their playlist growth, their sales funnel strategies and so much more. I’ve helped other course creators launch their sales funnels and promote them on Facebook ads and i’ve even helped non-music businesses such as barber shops and supplement companies fine tune their ad strategy.
